This acquisition will allow Pétroles Naskinnuk LP to increase its warehousing capacity, consolidate its activities, offer a better service to its clients and develop other markets in the region. This perfectly reflects their mandate of contribution to the economic growth of the region and as well as the development of local expertise in the petroleum industry.

Pétroles Naskinnuk LP, a limited partnership, was created in 2011 and was jointly created by a group of three aboriginal communities; the Innu; the Naskapi and the Inuit. This company oversees the distribution of petroleum products to the Schefferville communities and airport as well as the mining companies in the region. Schefferville Petro Inc, a subsidiary of the FCNQ, is the general partner of and ensures the management of Pétroles Naskinnuk LP.
